Meaningful Student Involvement SoundOut helps participants use a variety of research-based frameworks to create powerful, purposeful approaches to engaging students as partners in school improvement.
Introduction to Student Voice This training develops both students' and educators' understanding of what student voice is and what student voice can do in school.
Student Leadership Training Emphasizing applied leadership throughout schools, we train students and educators to work together to go beyond student leaders planning dances to student leaders solving serious problems in their schools.
Successful Student Involvement in Decision-Making This training highlights the role of student voice in classroom, school-wide, education agency, and school board decision-making. Participants examine their organization's culture and structure, identifying a multitude of ways to successfully involve students. Student School Board Members Partnering with Youth On Board, SoundOut examines 15 Points to Successfully Involving Youth On Boards with school board members and staff interested in engaging student board members. Learning about Learning We facilitate workshops on a variety of topics specifically for students to learn about learning, the school system, and education reform:
Professional Development Tailored workshops that focus on capturing what educators already know, and refocusing attention on student voice and meaningful student involvement in schools.
