Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction offers
a student-driven program designed to teach high school students about
education reform.
Boston Student Advisory Council
Administered by the Office of High School Renewal (HSR) of Boston
Public Schools, in partnership with Youth on Board, BSAC is a citywide
body of student leaders representing their respective high schools.
Oakland Unified School District Youth Voice & Activism Webpage
This program at OUSD offers powerful tools, links, and tips for

Portland Superintendent's Student Advisory Council
The SuperSAC is a district-wide, student-driven group that offers
recommendation and insight to the Superintendent, while providing an
opportunity for dialogue between students and district staff.
San Francisco Unified School District
SAC, is the group of students that is
officially charged with representing the needs of the students to the
decision-makers in the San Francisco Unified School District. The SAC
is made up of two representatives from each public high school in San
Francisco.

the public school system in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for K-12
students to discuss issues relating to the policies of the Anne
Arundel County Public Schools.
Maryland State Board of Education
Maryland is the only state in the nation that has a full-voting
student member on the State Board of Education. This student votes on
all issues, participates in all debates, and is respected as a full
member.
Student
Advisory Board on Education SABE is a
state wide conference in Sacramento, California that gives students an
opportunity to address the California State Board of Education on
issues facing California's students.
Kentucky Department of Education
Student voice is a very important part of Kentucky's Refocusing
Secondary Initiative. Stakeholders hear what the students are saying
about their high school experiences and their hopes for high schools
in the future. The agency is also assembling an online student
advisory team for the secondary initiative.
